Audiobooks

Most of the audio provided through SynchroTales is sourced from LibriVox, which is a collection of audiobooks that volunteers have contributed to the public domain. If you'd like to contribute to LibriVox, they provide information for volunteers here.

If you'd like to contribute audio to SynchroTales without donating your work to the public domain, you can contact me directly at nick@synchrotales.com. Please note that I currently cannot provide direct compensation for your work. I can however incorporate it into SynchroTales and credit you for it, without it being part of the public domain, if that is something you'd like to pursue.

Suggested Works

There are many great books out there, and many great recordings on LibriVox and elsewhere, but not all of them are provided through SynchroTales! This is because a given work must satistfy several criteria to be considered for inclusion:

  • It must be translated into multiple languages (preferably by a human)
  • All included text must be in the public domain, or SynchroTales must otherwise have permission to use and distribute it
  • It must have associated audio for multiple languages (again, preferably spoken by a real person)
  • Included audio must be part of the public domain, or SynchroTales must otherwise have permission to use and distribute it

If you want to increase the probability of your work being included, here are some suggested audiobooks that I would almost certainly include if someone were to record them:

If there is another work you have in mind which satisfies the above criteria, feel free to contact me directly and I will verify that it qualifies: nick@synchrotales.com
